Remember This?: Giga Pets

In the late ’90s, you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing a kid with a Giga Pet, a Nano Pet, or a Tamagotchi. They either owned one of their own, or were borrowing one from their homegirl Tu-Tu. I remember my cousin Ashley had a whole collection of Nanos, and everywhere she went, one of those would-never-stop beeping beasts came along with her.

You had to feed ’em, bath ’em, and put ’em to sleep or they would die from neglect. (I’m pretty sure my cousin killed most of hers off within the first few days of birthing them.) Despite the huge responsibility they demanded from kids, Giga Pets were definitely the cell phones of the ’90s for the young bucks.
