Black Fact of the Week: Detroit Has the Largest Population of Blacks in the US

 

The great city of Detroit, Michigan is known for many things: Cars, food, Motown, Arethra Franklin…but now it’s time to add one more distinction to the list: “The Blackest city in America.” That’s right,  the home of the Tigers has the largest population of Blacks in the U.S., with an estimated 82.7% of its citizens being Black or African American alone, according to the 2010 Census. #NowYouKnow
