Black Fact of the Week: Haiti is the Most Populous Predominantly Black Island in the Caribbean
Although Cuba is the largest island in the caribbean in size and population (Cuba is 42,803 square miles and boasts 11, 252,000 inhabitants), Haiti tops the list when it comes to the number of residents who claim African descent. Having approximately 10, 110, 019 citizens, 95% of Haiti’s population identify as Black or African. #GoodToKnow
