5 Easy Natural Hairstyles to Rock on Bad Hair Days

The Pineapple

Undoubtedly my favorite go-to hairdo on those rough and lazy days (or any other day for that matter; I just love this look!), the pineapple pony is both convenient and cute. Just get a sturdy, reliable scrunchy and a medium bristle brush, some water and some clear gel (optional). (You know us Black girls love slicking down those baby hairs.)

If you want the sloppy, yet sweet look: Brush your hair into a pony, apply the scrunchy, but only loop it once. Or if you’re using one of those really tight headbands, don’t loop it at all; simply apply the headband as you would if you were wearing it, and slide it up until all of your hair is pulled into a ponytail.

If you want it snug and neat, loop the band around your ponytail until you achieve the desired tightness. You could spice it up a bit and add a bow or a scar and you’re styled to perfection!

For a tutorial on how to achieve this look with gel, water and a headband, check out this video by Fashion to Live.

Here’s a quick video that demonstrates this look without the gel (and the brush) by Fatima F.
